Cet album est un manifeste contre les mauvais traitements à l’encontre du peuple aborigène mais aussi de la nature et des animaux. Pour une sonorité très sylvestre instrumentalisation de ce disque est fortement axée sur le marimba. Le nom de l’album vient du fait que Moondog utilise des samples, Elpmas est le palindrome de « sample ».
